Any advice on selling bearded dragons?

Hi,

After our female beardie laid eggs last year, we have 4 young dragons in addition to the 2 we had already. Unfortunately 3 of the young ones are male and we have to keep them separate to prevent them from fighting. We would like to sell at least some of them or trade them for females.

I have seen that many people are selling them over the internet but we don't like the thought of putting our babies into a package and send them via UPS. We would prefer to sell them to local people.

Can anybody give ma advice how to find possible buyers in the Washington DC area?

Thanks

Hans

BTW: The sell ad is here: http://private.hmerkl.com/lizardsale. Just in case anybody is interested :-)

$130 seems a little steep for Beardies. I've seen them available from breeders for $60

The first bit of advice I could offer is to lower the prices.Bloods and Sandfires go for cheaper than that.and although yours are nice looking Beardies, they will never fetch a price tag of $130.00

Secondly, you could try advertising on Kingsnake, stating that they are for "pick-up only"...or try to contact a local herp club for interested parties.

Good luck!
