Hi my once very active and slightly aloof kitty who would rarely cuddle up to me has become much more affectionate now. He'll bump his head against my hand and start purring which he would never do when he was young. Do all cats get more affectionate with age? I've also noticed his temperament has become more calm. He's 14 years old.

Mine has become a little more affectionate too. Emotion: smile He'll purr more often when you stroke him and he can even knead which never happened before (not with me at least, he'd only do this when mom petted him hehe).

Yes they do. I can think of four cats that became snugglier when they were around 11 y.o.
