Albinism is a mutation that causes an absence of color while solid white cats have a gene that masks color. Eyes in solid while cats can be green, blue, gold, or odd (different color). True albino cats have a reduced number of pigmentation cells (melanocytes), and their eyes are pink or pinkish blue due to a lack of pigmentation. An albino’s eyes are light sensitive.
