Can cats eat turkey?

I was giving my cat some turkey couple of days ago and my friend who was over said I shouldn't give my cat turkey because they can't digest it, is that true?

Sure cats can have turkey, they get it in their pet food all the time. But be careful as to what you cook it with and then feed it. If you used spices or onions or anything then don't feed anything like that, even if it's been cooked with it. Also, I'd watch the amount you feed as you could feed too much of the fat and that can actually cause pancreatitis in a cat.
