Can chicken broth help fix diarrhea after effects?

My cat had diarrhea a few days ago. I think she ate something bad. She's doing much better now although her stool is still unstable. She eats half her normal amount of raw food and drinks a little more than usual. Is it a good idea to give her some home made chicken broth to help her digestive system get back to normal?

Thank you.

Chicken broth has no probiotics in it if that's what you mean. Her digestive system should fix itself with her regular food. If she's eating okay I wouldn't bother.

Well, chicken broth is something I'd eat as a human if I had digestive problems like that, so I'd assume it's okay to give it to pets too. Although like alfinnlay said, it's a very good sign that she eats her normal food even though it's a lesser amount. You can give chicken broth a try but I'm sure she'll do fine without it too.

mum mum feeds the dogs rice and chicken when they're ill and that works... should work for a cat too
Exactly, certainly it won't hurt but I doubt very much it's going to help with anything. It helps dogs better than it helps cats to be honest. Two different digestive systems.

I think its best to just keep feeding him what he is used to for now and let it pass.. I can tell you that my cat also suffered from diarrhea a lot when he was younger and he doesn't react very well to anything besides chicken based food, but even then the body gets used to a certain thing and feeding different things without a slow transition can sometimes make things even worst. Our body's are used to eating so many different things that we usually don't have a reaction to new foods but a cats body is a lot different then ours and reacts differently.
