Can pets predict weather?This is a discussion thread · 5 replies Do you think our pets can predict weather? Have you noticed any changes in your pet's behaviour as the weather changes? I have heard some cats begin to behave anxiously but I have always found it hard to believe in. However I don't insist that can't be true. I'd like to hear your opinions and stories.   Participant78 I dont know about the weather but we had an earthquake and my cat was surprised like i was... and they say that cats can predict this kind of things...  Participant89 The only thing I noticed is that my cat would sleep really much if rain is coming. I wish he made a better barometer.   Junior Participant44 I think my parents predict weather better than my cat LOL. My mom usually has a headache when it's about to rain, and my dad has a headache when sunny weather is coming. I know this sounds a tad bizarre but that has been proven many times. As to Barsik.... well, he sleeps most of the time when there are major weather changes. (Just like yours it seems, kindstar!)There are studies about it. They say some cats/dogs hide in a safe place, some cry, some become hyperactive, and some bark or meow persistently. Sometimes my cat would meow a lot, that's true, but I've always considered it as a sign of his bad mood. I'm not sure it's weather dependent.
