Hi to all! My cat Lisa has got a bad habit and turns into a toy everything she can get hold of. The problem is that she's not interested in typical cat toys from a pet shop. Her favourite toy is my slippers. What can I do? What other interesting toys can I give her?

About a year and a half ago, a beautiful, tiny orange tabby kitten took refuge on our back porch while being harrassed by local adult cats. My wife took the kitten in and found it to be a Manx, haviing no tail and about 5 or 6 weeks old. We are animal lovers and this addition made for 2 cats and 2 dogs. Despite typical kitten-like beauty and charm, this is the only cat I've EVER had that resist all forms of house breaking. We prefer our cats to go outside, avoiding the odor of the indoor box, but the litter box would now be a blessing. "Caida" uses the bath tub for her solid waste, which is disgusting but easy to clean up. She will pee ANYWHERE. I've read that manxes are a fascinating mutation and some can take as long as 5 years to reach maturity. At a year and a half, ours is full adult sized but still looks like a kitten. Is there hope or will we have to get rid of her?

My roommates boyfriend found a little orange kitten only a couple months old in the parking lot of our aparment. I decided to adopt her after she fell asleep in my arms (I was the only one she would let hold her). The bond we have is remarkable. She is ridiculously sweet, has never and would never bite me or anyone, and although she is skittish she eventually warms up to most people and is kind. I have noticed she is very needy when it comes to having my full attention. I know this is somewhat normal. However, in the mornings, at night, actually whenever she feels like it - she will knead on my neck and suck on my hair. She goes into a trance and no matter how many times I push her away, she will come back again and again. I keep her very well fed, but she still feels the need to do this whenever I am laying on my bed. I wake up to her staring at me. I'll even fall back asleep and wake back up an hour later to her still staring at me. Is she obsessed with me? is this infatuation normal??? I grew up thinking cats were independent. She seems to be anything but that.

Hello A Scottish Fold kitten (2 months) sleeps all day long. Appetite is fine, urinating and defecating are fine too. But today he doesn't want to play, only eats and goes to sleep again. Before that he walks meowing and follows me everywhere till I take him on lap. Sometimes it looks like he hobbles slightly. I'm a bit worried. Any ideas please?

Hello, I have 3 cats. Today I took one of them, the youngest one, to a veterinarian. When we came back, the other two cats began to hiss at her. It didn't last too long but this had never happened before!! Why did they hiss at her? Was there something I did wrong? We adopted her about a month ago and they all have got along well till now.

Did you know that cats can actually see themselves in mirrors? But for the cat to keep its interest in the reflection, it needs to "smell" the other cat. Well there are always exceptions to the rule...

This would be heaven for me if my cats could do this, maybe I should try this experiment?

... or do all cats tend to love throwing up on carpets? About 90% of the time I find puke on the carpets, I'm guessing the other 10% of the time they don't make it there on time! Do your cats do the same?

I have a serious problem with my cat's behaviour.. he won't stop biting electric wires and cords!! I've tried to replace them for 3 times but he alwats finds them! Any ideas why he's doing it and what I can do? I never imagined I'd have a rat-like cat... He is 4 years old and we took him from a shelter several months ago. P.S. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Hey all, Just wanted to share with you some story. When I was a child, we used to spend summer in a village. There was a very brave cat, curly haired Devon Rex if I'm not mistaken, with an amazingly active temperament. His owners didn't give him much food thinking, apparently, that in the village he can find enough food himself. But we couldn't face a cat left on his own so we fed him from time to time. That lasted for approximately several weeks, till once... once we found him playing with a HUGE dead rat at our door!! I was about 11 years old, and this left a great impression in my mind! Apparently, this was a way he showed his great appreciation for taking care of him and feeding him. We also used to feed other rustic cats, and we kept finding dead mice around the house occasionally! It was nice to see the gratitude and devotion of the cats; the only unpleasant thing about that all was that we had to remove the dead creatures from the yard. Barsik never brought us even a little mouse, hehe. I got interested in the topic and found these explanations of such behaviour in cats. - This is a present, in appreciation for you feeding it or as a sign of affection. - Your cat realizes that you are a totally unskilful mouser, and is trying to educate you this way. - The cat is bringing her prey home to eat it in safe. - The cat is just trying to provide you with some fresh food. Have you ever had any experience like that?

We just adopted two 3 year old Siberian cats (brother and sister) from a woman who had had them since they were born. She was heartbroken to part with them and apparently so are they. During the first five hours of being in my house they have been hiding under the couch. Right now there's still there. They have not explored the rooms, haven't gone to the litter box or haven't eaten or drunk anything. Help! What do I do for them??

Cerebellar hypoplasia is a disorder found in cats and dogs in which the cerebellum is not completely mature at birth. For those of you who see a kitten acting differently, watch this video!

Hi, I have a 6 month old kitten with what i think is a mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia, I am really finding it hard looking after him at the moment, for one he is not getting on with our other cat, not just that he requires alot of attention to the point where i am finding it difficult when i am at home to get things done as he cries if he does not have my full attention when awake. I love him dearly but over the last few weeks it has started taking its toll. We live on a main road and lost our previous kitten who our other cat loved thus the reason for getting Ronnie, and with him being special i am not comfortable with letting him out unattended. When we fist got him he was unwell and spent a few days at the vets with a cold and constipation. I really dont want to have to rehome him so am looking for some advice on how to make my house a happy home not only for both my cats but for my partner and i also. Would appriciate any advice that would help us, thank you

Good afternoon to everyone! I have an odd problem, - a while back my cat started hiding under the bed. He spends there half a day, even if my children and I are home. In the morning, he'd go to the kitchen to eat, then to the litter box, but then he'd come back to the room and hide under my bed. When I try to get him out of there, he tries to resist me and then will hide under it even deeper. Sometimes he just watches us out of there with eyes wide open. In the second part of the day, he is am absolutely typical cat: eats, plays a lot, wants a belly rub, cleans himself, pees and defecates etc. So I am really confused. On the one hand, everything is just normal, but on the other hand, he spends too much time hiding, in my opinion. Why can he be doing this?
