I want to get an Ocicat kitten but I can't decide on gender. I know both neutered and unneutered males can spray but how about females? Is this behavior typical for them too?

Can anyone offer some advice please? We have a very friendly, cuddly and sweet Burmese with an independent streak. She often walks outside and sometimes gets into scraps with other animals in the area. Over the years we've had her, on one occasion with me and again last night with my stepdad, whilst she is curled up being stroked, she suddenly turns and attacks the person stroking her. It's not a common occurrence, but I just wonder if there could be some reason behind it other than her being stroppy? I do not believe she is dangerous, but I also don't like feeling I have to be wary of her moods...

How can I possibly stop my cat from scratching and doorways? He does it every time my bedroom door is closed and I really hate it open at night.

Please help. Our cat keeps pooping outside the litter box. He uses it to pee all right but will always poop near, not in. He's been doing it for the last month. Before that we had never had problems with him. My husband returned from a business trip last week, can it be a form of protest against his absence?

I often find my cat staring at me whenever I go in the house. I may not even be aware he's in the same room until I suddenly have eye contact with him. He likes high spots to observe my activity. He watches me even when I sleep! I'm just wondering if other cats do that too or I should start being scared of him. LOL.

Hello all! I have a "problem" with my cat. When I lie in my bed in the evening she'll come and start kneading on my hair and head! I was told it's affection so I don't want to discourage it but it hurts! Any ideas pls?

So I have a maine coon male who i've brought to a friend's house to mate with his female maine coon, twice. Both times she's being all lovey-dovey towards him and he's just staring at her and doesn't budge. He has no clue on what to do with her it's quite funny, but now we wonder how often should we try since he's due for neutering. Not enjoying the peeing in our home! Ty

Hi all, I have a 7 years old cat who has been an angel always but recently she started scratching our leather furniture. She KNOWS she's not allowed to do that but she'll just look at us while scratching as if she was saying "ha what are you gonna do now?" She's got two scratching posts and she uses them too so I'm at a loss how to break this habit before our furniture us ruined. Please HELP. I have a feeling she simply enjoys the adrenaline after we rush to stop her.

Hi everyone. In short: my cat is exceptionally smart and I am running out of ideas how to entertain him. He's almost like a dog. For instance when I say "time to use the restroom" and head to mine, we meet at the top of the stairs because he's heading to his too. When I say "time to visit mom" he goes to his crate. He understands lots of words like upstairs, downstairs, fridge, and the command "go to bed". To my misfortune he knows the word "work" too and starts meowing whenever I say it because he thinks I'm going to work. It's his way to beg me to stay. All my everyday visitors know to avoid this word. It's a bit ridiculous but that's been the best way to avoid unexpected bursts of his talkativeness. His favourite time spending is playing fetch with me. That takes about an hour a day. I also try to teach him new commands as often as I can. In spite of this all I feel he still tends to get bored and I should do more to busy his keen mind. He doesn't get destructive but he often seems to be looking for a job to do, and lights up when it's time to learn something new. I would love to hear any tips from people who have had a similar experience. The name of this feline miracle is Randy. I fancy he was a dolphin or an elephant in his former life. The smartest cat I've ever had!

How can we get our cat to use a cat wheel? We thought it'd be great fun for him but he's ignoring it.
