 Cat is going to the litter box frequently?This question has been answered · 1 replies Anonymous: Hi my cat has been going in her litter box more frequently but everything looks normal, is this okay or should I make an appointment at the vet just in case it's a sign of something?Approved answer (verified by Ruslana) Here are some things to look for first, is there any sign of blood, foamy pee or an excessive amount of urine? Is she drinking a lot more than usual lately? How old is she? If she's older than 7 than I think it might be a good idea to see the vet as they can start losing some kidney function when they get older. Other things like diabetes or hyperthyroid can play a part as well. BUT! If you live in an area of the world where it's been EXTREMELY HOT these days and she's been drinking more water because of that, then you may want to keep an eye on her for a bit just to make sure that's all it is. Cats cannot sweat so she may just be drinking more than normal to get her body temp down. You're a good parent for being so observant and wanting to be proactive!  ALL REPLIES | Have a question?
