Cat harness - safe? This is a discussion thread · 5 replies Hello cat fanciers, How safe is it to use a harness to walk a cat? I like them far more than a collar but I've heard cats are masters to escape from any harness. What are your thoughts? ![]() Regular Participant116 They are masters of escape but if you get one that's more of a vest or a fitted harness, they'll be fine. You can actually have some made to fit and they aren't expensive. Yes, there are people that make them according to your cat's measurements. I know someone in the UK who does it and they aren't expensive. http://www.happyhousecats.co.uk/cat-walking-jackets-uk /. Here's another one I think is here in the U.S., a friend of mine used this one and liked it: http://www.taylordesignedpetproducts.com/mwawaha.html . Thank a million! Another question, may I? With retail harnesses, how do I know it fits neither too tight now too loose? That I don't know, sorry, I haven't tried one of those. I think if I decide to get one for mine, I'd have to get a fitted one. Lacey is Houdini and she'd slip out of that thing in a second. | Have a question? People are waiting to help. Interesting stuff |
