In Spain also the protests are bigger each year

Wow great story, alfinnlay!
Ashamed to say this, but there are not many protests against the circus here in Russia. Maybe it's just me not being aware of them though.

So do you all think ALL circuses are bad and there's no fine circus in the world, none at all? It's clear a lot of people want profit but I cannot believe there are NONE who really love and take care about the animals.
Yeah I've wondered about that too anony.

Wild animals should not be used to entertain humans! I don't care how well they take care of them or what methods they use to train them they are wild animals they should not be locked in zoo's, preform tricks or do anything to entertain or make money for humans. They also shouldn't be abused and undergo painful tests in order to make us look beautiful or make our hair look nice or cure us from any disease.

Amen Joleen!!! Amen!!! Animals were not put on this earth for our entertainment and our amusement. It's not their JOB. You know, a dog that is well loved at home with his family and loves doing tricks and has fun with it is completely different from a wild animal that is genetically made up to hunt, roam, and live out their lives in the wild with their herds. Did you just see about that American who was working at a chimp reserve that got mauled by the chimps? Those poor chimps were there because they were traumatized and abused by being held captive for experiments, entertainment, all kinds of things before they got there. Those chimps attacked him because they saw him holding a rock in his hand. They freaked out and went on the defensive. That's what the word wild means. No inhibitions, no restrictions, no domestication, no reasoning. And this was at a rescue for these animals! They are living, breathing souls that deserve better.

How about animals that are extinct or endangered in the wild but which are kept in zoos that hopefully take good care about them and help them breed? Isn't it a good thing to save animals?
Most extinct animals hardly breed in captivity. There is a difference between a rescue and a zoo. People who take these animals in for one reason or another after some moron decided they want to have a lion as a pet (which obviously never works out) and those animals don't have any skills to survive in the wild. There is no reason to bring a polar bear all the way to a zoo in order to reserve it, they won't breed in captivity they are simply there to entertain. And no matter how well they try and take care of them the largest zoo cage can't replace being in the wild which is where they belong. Instead of spending money on building zoo's they should take hunting out of the law and invest in savoring their natural habitats in the wild, that is the only way to keep them alive. Ruining their homes and then locking them up "to save them" is not the way to do it. or better just get the hell out of their home and stop polluting their air and water. One thing I can tell you for sure is when the day comes and us humans kill ourselves slowly and be gone nature will thrive.

I saw a promo the other day that just made me furious! it said "get your hunting license to help protect wildlife" I really don't understand how those two can be put in the same sentence?! how is encouraging people to get a lisense to kill animals and proudly put their heads up in their living room saving wildlife?? having a license to kill is just as bad or even worst then killing without one!
