is it possible for a dog to get extremely sick from eating a frog? my boyfriend has a puppy and she ate a frog two days ago and ever since she has been just laying around and occasionally getting sick to her stomach. She also doesn't want to eat anything. the vet reccommended gatorade.i've read that frogs can make them extremely sick, do you think it is the frog or somthing else?

probably the frog. Frogs CAN make them extremely sick. Depending on the kind of frog, even kill them.

many frogs are extremely poisonous. most poisonous frogs, though, have poison on the skin, so they usually spit them out (can still get very sick). Dogs in australia are killed by Cane Toads all the time, for instance.

also you guys some of the vets that we have called told us that she could possibly have parvo but she hasn't had diarrhea and she has only gotten sick about 3 times in the past few days. they also told me that it could have been anything that she has chewed on that could have made her sick. she just acts very weak and she won't eat but she hasn't had the other symptoms of parvo.
