i have 2 i think...(im in germany so i dont know as the name was in german but i did some research and thats what they most look like Emotion: stick out tongue) they are the most freindly hamsters ive ever had you just have to tame them right. let them settle in for a day or two then start to put your hand it and just let them have a sniff but dont pick them up.talk to them to,it might sound odd but to a hamster im sure we are quite loud and noisey it helps them learn its nothing to be scared of.after a few days put a treat in your hand and let them come on you to take it,when there ready they will climb in your hand and you can take them out and have a stroke but try not to pick them up for a while it might freak them out seeing a giant hand come to grab them till there completley used to you Emotion: big smile it doesnt really take long to tame them but they will bite at first just an investagiting nip it doesnt hurt, more the shock of it and of course it helps if your hand doesnt smell like food to them. mine love being handled now and never bite and dont mind being picked up,they even jump about in the cage as though a child asking a parent to pick it up (or i might just be barmy)

i have read in a few places that dwarf hamsters need to be handled often or they sort of forget how to be tame and you have to start all over again, but i dont know how true that is.also they can live in pairs but if you do have two it will be best to have 2 cages at first if possible as they might take some getting used to each other first
