We're moving house in 2 weeks and we have an outdoor cat who is 5 and she's been living in this place since we got her 4 years ago. My question is, how will she find her way home in the new environment? How will she know it's her new home? If you can please share your thoughts about how I make it easy and safe for her. The new place 80 miles away but I've heard stories about cats wandering even farther so I'm worried about her coming back to the OLD place and getting lost. Thanks.

From what I've learnt about animals, they have feelings too and they do suffer sometimes. But can cats commit suicide just like we humans can do?? For example, when one of the owners passed away and the cat misses him too much... do you have any stories & opinions about it please?

Hi guys, What is your cat's favourite spot in the house? Barsik's favourite place has always been "his" (it used to be ours, lol) armchair. Since recently, however, he began to love the chair next to the computer desk. If someone occupies the chair sitting at the PC, Barsik will always try to take his place there, too. He'll end up sitting either on your lap or behind your back (between your back and the chair back). I think he's plotting to take over the computer...

I have recently rescued a cat but im still trying to find out what breed it is. It has long hair but a flat face(especially the nose), it's ginger and quiet small, about 8 months I would think. I'm told that it is pedigree, Persian of course but I'm wondering what breed of Persian. It's a quiet cat that is interested in sitting alone rather than running around the house. It also always has its tongue stuck out, any ideas?

After every meal my cat's bowls look like she was playing with the food instead of eating it! The dry food is all over the place and she manages to take it out of the bowl even if the bowl sides are high. Is there anything I can do to train her to eat cleanly or I have to just live with it? -.-

Do you keep a scratching post for your cat? Did you make it yourself or bought it?

Hi everyone! I got a new kitten a month ago and so far I've been with him every day. Now I found a job that requires me to be out of home every second day for 7 hours. I'm not sure how to handle this so my kitten doesn't feel abandoned. Has anyone been in the same situation? My little friend is 6 and a half months old.

Why does my cat never purr when he is sitting on my lap? Does it mean he doesn't love me? Nor does he knead his paws into me like I've seen many other cats do. Is it something wrong with me or my cat? Can I train him how to purr? He's 3 years old and I treat him like my other male cat. The other one is very affectionate by the way. They are both neutered. My vet couldn't name me any reason of such behaviour... I look forward to your replies.

Our female cat won't stop weeing by our front door, she has been checked by the vet- no health problems and we have tried various suggestions, extra litter trays, covering the area and felaway spray but nothing works!! We are stuck for what to do! We live in a rented property which is carpeted and she is ruining the carpets and its soaked through to the floor boards underneath any tips??

We just spayed our female cat. We have another male cat. They have been together for almost a year now. She was away getting her spay for about 36 hours. When we brought her home our male went nutso. Hissing and growling as if he had never known her. So we locked her away. Its been almost two days and I can't bear to keep her locked up but I do not want him to hurt her. Any advice on what to do to mediate them?
