Help choose dog breed pleaseThis is a discussion thread · 3 replies Anonymous: hi everyone i need help with choosing a dog breed... could you please name a couple of breeds that get along well with all family members especially 2 year old kids.. the dog's size doesn't matter much although medium size dogs are more preferred. i'll appreciate any help greatly!!my friend keeps telling me that it's not the breed that matters but raising the dog. so i'm sure everything should be ok with most dogs as long as you raise them well ^_^ ![]() Animal Admirer263 It's not the breed that's important, but the individual dog's temperament, personality, socialization, and training. Adopt an adult or young adult dog from a rescue or shelter. His temperament will be known and you can make sure he is the right fit for your family! I'd like to ask you help me choose a dog because I know very little about different breeds. A year ago we go a Jack Russel puppy. The first six month were like a nightmare: chewed wires, torn wallpapers and furniture, bitten hands and so on. Then we hired a dog trainer and the dog's behavior improved very much. But Jack Russel's temperament is evident anyway: constant walks, frequent games, and other activities that require a lot of time. We have a difficult work schedule and can't spend all day with the dog. Now he lives with an aunt and we only come to visit them. So my question is whether there is a small dog without specific requirements, moderately active, that can be left alone for a long time and it won't get upset or destructive because of that? Or am I asking for the impossible? | Have a question? People are waiting to help. Interesting stuff |
