FSUguy: My vet recommended I use vinager when I found a mud turtle in the same conditions. The vinager is harmless to a turtle, but leeches hate it. -Ben

Snake Whisperer: The salt has to be in dry form. It dessicates the leech. Saline solution might not work.Come to think of it, just being out of the water would probably kill the leeches. In Nam, the jungle humidity was 100%. The leeches would crawl out of the water and wait for a victim while hanging onto the plants. later, the Snake Whisperer Teach the Children "Back to The Garden"
