Hyperactive catThis is a discussion thread · 2 replies Anonymous: I love my Ocicat to bits but she's a monster. She fights neighbour cats and they've already united in a group demanding me to rehome my cat. I tried to keep her indoors but she ends up ruining the house. She does have scratching poles, toys, high spots to sit on and nevertheless she won't stop scratching furniture, curtains and wallpapers when she wants to. What should I do?? How old is she? Maybe you could consider getting another kitty so she won't feel lonely. ![]() Animal Admirer259 Anonymous: Ocicats are very active cats by nature and they need interaction with people, not just a bunch of toys. I don't know how much time you spend playing with her but if you expect her to busy herself with what you've given her, that won't work. She needs to actively participate in what you're doing. Have you tried to train her? Ocicats are very much dog-like so learning a few tricks could busy her keen mind. | Have a question? People are waiting to help. Interesting stuff |
