Iguana SheddingThis is a discussion thread · 3 replies A Hess: Is it normal for an Iguana to shed several times a month? Mine (Fossil) is nearly 4' long and it seems she is always shedding, mostly her head and tail. The rest of her body sheds about once a month or so. I feed her regularly: cilantro, dandelions, spinach with a variety of mango, squash, strawberries, red bell peppers and other goodies, and she eats close to a regular sandwich sized ziploc bag full every day. I was just wondering, thanks, Aron-=-=-=-=-=-=- -- -=-=-=-=-=-=- Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Check her very carefully for burns, fungus, or skin parasites like mites or ticks. You might want to consider increasing her humidity too to facilitate the shedding. Also check the rest of your husbandry (again) to make sure that everything is as it should be. -Z

And from the sounds of it, Fossil is an excellent eater. -- Chaosmage (Email Removed) Iguana Mafia Site: http://members.nccw.net/coyote/iguana-mafia/iguanamafia.htm Personal site: http://members.nccw.net/coyote/
