 Importing new cat breed?3 replies Anonymous: Do you think it's ethical to import a cat to a country where the breed is not present? Is the traveling too much stress? This would be with plane for 3 hours. I'm not an expert but 1) why can it be unethical? 2) that depends on how young the cat is, her temperament, and if she has travelled before. Some cats react to trips fine but some may cope with them worse. Will you be allowed to take the kitty with you inside the airplane? Good if so. Before you take her for the trip, spend some time getting her used to the crate you're going to use for transportation. Let her smell it, explore it, etc. Place her favourite blanket or toy inside so she's not afraid to enter it. I'm sure she'll be fine. I've heard cats are capable of travelling for up to 8 hours! Although it's not recommended unless there's no other choice. Anonymous: With unethical i mean the stress of traveling, I just think that's somthing that shouldnt be done in general, i wanted to know what others think. thanks for your reply!Travelling is stress for people too sometimes but it's not something you call unethical!
