Do you think people should just breed dozens of kids without worrying about whether they would be taken care of for life? If you were breeding puppies that you were willing to care for as long as they live and whatever health or temperament problems they might have, I'd see it a bit differently. But I'll bet once they are out of your house, you no longer see them as your problem or responsibility.
