[nq:2]I'm thinking Vallhund. That's what they're bred to do, right?[/nq]
[nq:1]I'm thinking that you're thinking of the Puffin dogs...uh...the Lundehund. The funky dogs with collarbones![/nq]
Hey, I got the "hund" part right. (And you knew what breed I meant)

Yeah, Lundehund. Rock-clambering seems pretty inherent to their existence.

[nq:1]... I don't know about every breed out there but I know my herding breed would collapse or be dragging his butt if he had to walk 4-6hrs in a day...[/nq]
What herding breed would that be?

[nq:1]There are all kinds of non-greasy coat conditioners that will help. Show Sheen is a good one, and something called Cowboy's Friend or something similar is another.[/nq]
Cowboy Magic. Not cheap, but just a little dab'll do ya. Works for humans, too.

I used to use the Cowboy Magic detangler, but don't any more. That's because I once spilled a little bit on my carpet and found that the stuff would NEVER come out. I must've shampooed the spot at least a dozen times and it would look all right at first... but then it would start attracting dirt again. And did I mention that the stuff attracts dirt? It was amazing - envision a nice off-white carpet with a permanent brown spot about six inches in diameter and you've got the picture.
Now, the stuff does work miracles as a detangler, but no way no how am I going to put anything in my dogs' coats that's a dirt magnet that can't be washed out.
JFWIW,
Dianne
