What do you think about keeping birds of prey as pets? Do I need a license or anything from the government? I live in Kansas and I've always been fascinated by them. I'm not going to get any right now but I've always dreamt of a hawk. Maybe one day!

I could be wrong but keeping native species of birds of prey is illegal in the USA and the regulations do not allow to keep one as a pet. If I am wrong and you ever to happen to have one you should be aware of its special needs like keeping it tethered and its mandatory flight time. A bird was born to fly and it's cruel to ignore this natural need. Peace, and let the dream be a dream.
