Leaving pets alone at homeThis is a discussion thread · 7 replies Do you worry when you have to leave your pets alone at home? Do you make any special arrangements to ensure that their stay's as safe as possible? That's really a tough call, as my pet (Panther, a Rottweiler) just start making strange voices if I just left him alone for a minute. Well someone have to stay at home to make him sure that he is not alone and the lucky one always have somebody beside him, thanks to my smelly loving family.. ![]() Newcomer03 It depends how long I'm gone. If it's for one day or up to 2 days, I leave enough water and food out for them to be ok. If I leave longer than that I will have a friend coming over daily to check up on them and so far it's worked out fine. I've been able to take holidays for up to 3 weeks and things went great. I guess that's the benefit of having more than one cat, they can keep eachother company. It's important to leave out more than one water dish in case they spill it. Then it's interesting to see which of the 3 will be angry at me when I come back, or which ones will be just glad to see me You seem to have had a good experience in that, Punky. As to me, we hadrly leave our cat at home alone for more than 1 day. My mom's a housewife, which means she's at home most of the time, so Barsik's always got a company. Usually, when we come back home from work, he runs to the door with purr saying, apparently, 'oh holly whiskas, wher hav ya been? I mized ya so muuuch' hihi Yeah I do... and you get 3 guesses which cat is generally peed off at me after I come back from a holiday, and which 2 greet me happily at the door | Have a question?
