For a beginner, which is easier to keep, a male or female rabbit? Do they have different temperaments? Or does the gender generally not matter?
im not an expert by any means but from personal experience when i had a rabbit it was female and she would often escape to go look for a mate apparently no matter how rabbit proof the run is they find a way out you only have to blink and there off! lucky for me she was always in the same place, a few doors down, as the women who lived there used to breed rabbits and we guessed the male scent was still in the air. if you do get a female i recomend having her neutured as soon as possible (as you should for males too of course) but i know someone here will have more experience and advice for rabbits Emotion: smile

Thanks for the reply, that's good to know!
Is it similar to cats, that one shouldn't leave the females unneutered because of health reasons?
