Mel and her kids

So I shall take the opportunity to introduce my three children!

My oldest cat is Yoda and she's turning 10 in June. I got her in Malta back when I used to live here ages ago from a pet shop. They had told me she was a male but turned out she wasn't! She was sooo ugly as a kitten that I just HAD to have her!!! Hehe. She's apparently half Maine Coon and half Persian, though I don't see any persian traits in her. She's got the full Main Coon personality which I absolutely adore, you could almost say she's half cat, half dog! She loves playing fetch, chase and hide and seek Big Smile

My other female cat, Chewy, is also turning 10 this year and is a persian. A typical persian. Naughty and shy. The pet store I got Yoda from had found her when she was only 4 weeks old and I immediately took her in. Nothing much to say about her, you barely notice she's around because she just sits around and does nothing Big Smile Except for the occasional sneak up behind one of the other cats and attacking them.

Last but not least there is Gizmo, a pure breed Maine Coon boy whom I bought in Germany. He's turning 5 this month and it needs a lot of patience to put up with him! According to him, life evolves only around him. So if there are times that he wants attention and I don't give it to him, he goes mad and screams together the entire flat. If there is a door closed in which he'd like to go in, he goes mad. If there is just one spoon too little food, that's not good enough and he'll whine. If he wants to sit on my laptop while I'm working, he'll keep trying for an hour. If he wants to come into my room at night he'll sit infront of the door for 3 hours and miao non stop! And when he's bored he'll walk around the flat making funny noises Big Smile
Yeah and he likes to jump on Yoda and just lie on her while she's hissing and flipping out underneath him. He's just a bit bigger though so she doesn't stand a chance! Boys.... Wink

Two comments - 1) That is the cleanest countertop I've ever seen in my life, and 2) Dear LORD don't you have a bunch of fur everywhere??

Proud stepmom to two cats and mom to a kitten (making us a truly blended family) - and grandmom to a one-eyed gerbil.

Yes I do! Old flat mate and Ollie moved out recently but still, having 3 long haired cats doesn't help!!! It's manageable though, they're not too active so it's ok Smile

I must admit that I have never been a big fan of cats, but your "kids" are so beautiful that they could make me change my mind Wink
