My cat brought me a huge rat!This is a discussion thread · 5 replies so myla my outdoor kitty came home this morning with something big in her mouth. i didn't see what it was but when she came closer i realized it was a HUGE rat! she had brought me mice and small birds before but this rat was just gross. i don't even know where she found it and i hope she won't bring rats like that again lol 'coz that's creepy and freaks the hell out of me. the ratty was about 30cm from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. geez!  i'm still recovering from the shock! Participant57 I can imagine how it felt! Barsik has never brought us dead rodents but other cats have, in gratitude for feeding them I guess. I must confess I always felt bad for the poor creatures. One of my cats did this. Not the three I have now but the momma of the oldest two. When she was younger, she brought me this gigantic rat. The really horrible thing? She jumped up in my lap and laid it on me. I didn't realize what it was at first but then it started moving. Oh, I freaked out. lol. It was cute though but still...yuck. I hate rats. Miky is indoors, so no trophies here. I'm fine with it! that's comforting to know i'm not the only one to freak out at this. i wonder if our cats think we'll eat their 'gifts'. i made sure myla didn't see how i threw the rat away. some may say that's kinda ridiculous but i do care about what my cat thinks about me lol. | Have a question?
