Do you think dogs of some breeds are smarter than others?
  I think it is so indeed. Otherwise, any dog would make a perfect guard / patrol dog. But as we know, just some breeds are chosen for that.
  Yes. The obvious ones that springs to mind are shepherds, collies and poodles.
But I wouldn't say there are any dumb dogs. Each dog is intelligent in its own way.
