"When he'd done his business, he ran up to me to"

"get a reward, secure in the belief that he had been a very good dog in responding so quickly to my command."

"Either he is a very smart dog or he has one heck of a sense of humor!!! What a great dog trainer you are!"

He has already developed an addiction to pupperoni. That's the real secret. If I have the pupperoni container out, you can see the wheels spinning as he tries to figure out what I want him to do so he can have some. It started when he would go in his kennel on command and I'd tell him he was a good boy and deserved a pupperoni while giving him one. It evolved to mentioning pupperoni sending him running to his kennel. Now that he gets pupperoni for other tricks, he's just looking at what else you might him to do for the doggie crack.

He is getting good at sitting to be petted. Except with the girls. I've noticed he still jumps up on their legs. Most likely because they pet him and love on him when he does. Bad girls!

"But if the dogs hear you mention anything about breakfast, supper or eating, in english, it triggers an immediate storm of begging, and so much for any hope of sitting down, scanning the headlines and drinking a cup of coffee."

If you mention breakfast to Faith, she whimpers and shivers in anticipation, and dances around the front door. When you let her out, she does her gazelle dance all the around the yard and over to the car. Going to breakfast means Anna is going to sneak her out her favorites in a doggie bag and she gets a feast.
