Robin, the lovebug

CATherine:
It seems someone dumped a cat on me way out here in the country. I have named him Robin because he is the color of a Robin.

He is desperate for loving, winding about our legs and wanting to be picked up and loved. He gets ecstatic in my arms and loves his head and neck rubbed.
He has a few old scratches around his head and neck, all healed and scabs peeling. But no deep wounds. He is in good shape. He seems to have only spent one night outside.
I am keeping him on my enclosed porch where it is warm and sheltered, with food, water and litter and a good perch by a window. I bring him into the house after I put my 3 cats in the bedroom.

We took some pictures and I posted them on alt.binaries. pictures.animals under this title.
I think he is about 9-10 months. He is neutered and still has the scab from it. Maybe they waited too long to neuter him because he still sprays, although he doesn't have the tomcat scent, thank G*d! And maybe that is why a loving cat was dumped.
CATherine, glad he found us before a coyote found him

How lucky he is! Don't you wish he could talk? It just doesn't make sense that someone would go to the bother and expense to neuter a cat, and then dump it. Do you think he might be chipped?

I already saw the pix, and he is definately a handsome guy and looks so happy. I've heard that it takes a little time for the hormones to work their way out after the male is neutered, so hopefully he'll stop spraying after awhile - it's probably too soon if he still has a scab from the neutering. Maybe that will help the other cats be more accepting as well.
Also glad he found you before the coyotes found him, if I remember the post in the pix group he already gets along with the dog, so would have easy prey for a coyote.

Aww! Are you going to keep him? How can anyone dump a kitty (or a dog) like that? (rhetorical question.)

When I first read this I thought you meant he was RED! Then I looked at alt.binaries... OMG he looks like Persia! What a sweetie.
