Sheltie vs.Collie

I want a Collie but the standard Collies are too big for my apartment so I was wondering how similar Shelties are to Collies besides the size? Perhaps I should get Sheltie instead they seem fine dogs too.

Sheltie are extremely smart loving dogs ! they adapt well and are definitely great dogs I would absolutely recommend it. Although they look similar they are very different breeds, the Collie is somewhat more stubborn (a lot of times people say they are not very smart but they are just stubborn) the Sheltie is more willing they are much more active and adapt very well in situations which the Collie may not. The Sheltie is a lot more high energy though compared to the Collie who is very mellow and would do great in an apartment for example. So I would say it really depends on you and what you think will suit you lifestyle better. Although the Collie is bigger it will do a lot better in an apartment while the Sheltie will require a lot more attention and energy draining.
