[nq:1]It seems to be males snakes more than females in the spring, mine go crazy to get out and hunt for a female[/nq]
That's what my male hoggie has been doing the last couple of months. He's refused his meals, yet constantly paces up and down his enclosure, waving about in the air, presumably looking for an escape hole! I'm wondering whether I should remove the heat bulb and just let him cool off. The temps are unlikely to fall much below 70F anyway as he's sat on top of the beardies cage.

it's catching, Miss Piggy refused her 2 fuzzies last week (for the first time since last year) and she is also roaming around looking for an escape. I held her last night and instead of wrapping around my fingers and trying to bury herself she tried to escape off onto the table!

My 2 hoggies have mated a lot recently, so hopefully have some eggs in spring.
I have cooled off my frog eye gex, i really need to hatch the eggs next year as i cant find any in the UK and want to breed them, found a nice young red BD to mate my life phase female next year when hes ready.

BTw while you were away(i too only just got my DLA sorted, big worry of my mind now) i took in a v small BD hatchling, didnt want to feed, i hand fed it for maybe just over week and seems to be doing well, then one day it died in my arms whilst feeding.
Glad to hear your back, been asking about you but again lost your email, tel # and addy

I think I must be kind of numb to it because of the halfway housing. So many snakes come and go from my house. It seems almost every feeding day, someone refuses. I track who it was. I've now had two consecutive refusals from my female children's python... and she's looking VERY plump. I wonder if she's gravid again. She laid her eggs (which were all slugs) a couple of months ago. I don't know if they can lay again so soon. I'll just wait and see. Emotion: smile

Female corn snakes will lay their second clutch exactly two mounths after the first.

That's what my new female corn does. She's constantly looking for an escape route and has a mind of her own when she wants. I didn't realise how strong corns can be when they put their mind to it! Saying that, she's not at all aggressive though and will eventually calm down and sit in your lap for a while. The male is much easier to handle, but he's a bit smaller anyway. He's just happy to lay across your arms and be stroked.

My baby boa just likes to wrap himself around my fingers or wrist and is content to stay there. Mr Hoggie just despises me though ... I've only got to look into his cage and he's puffing his neck up and hissing at me lol

Can you post the piccies of Kellog again please as I haven't seen them yet. All the faffing about I been doing on this puter has lost all my old mail and posts. I've also lost everyone's email addy's too Emotion: sad

I would have said I'd buy a couple off you if they hatch but we've progressed on to bigger snakes now Emotion: big smile

Now I'd certainly be interested in the beardies if you get to breed them. I've been looking for another female to put with my pair as Mr Man is driving her nuts cos he's so randy lol I'd much prefer a colour phase one though.
[nq:1]BTw while you were away(i too only just got my DLA sorted, big worry of my mind now)[/nq]
Glad you got sorted out too. My first claim 2 years ago was turned down and I was too ill to appeal it so didn't think I'd stand much chance again this time but it went thru ok without even having a medical or anything. It's amazing what having a different GP can do. I got HR care and LR mob for 4 years so that's a huge weight off my mind for a while.
[nq:1]i took in a v small BD hatchling, didnt want to feed, i hand fed it for maybe just over week and seems to be doing well, then one day it died in my arms whilst feeding.[/nq]
Aww that's a shame. I know you'd have done everything possible for it though.

Typical bloke! Emotion: wink I'll mail you my details. Just lucky you don't mung your email addy on here as I've lost all my stuff too. I treat myself to a new 'puter with the backpay so been working on that the last few weeks. I ended up building it myself as it's cheaper that way and getting software from 'friends' Also went broadband so been busy building up my music collection Emotion: wink
Hope all's well at your end.
Take care.

There you go. ;-)

She's loads better now she's in her new viv. Eating a medium mouse every week and she's she once already. :-)
I've found out she's 10 years old so we may not have too long to go with her but at least she'll be looked after.
