My guess would be "Larry don't call me Lawrence".[/nq]You can call me by whatever name you want if it makes you happy. I don't know the person you are referring to but with my university degree I could have qualified to emigrate to the US any time I desired. Fortunately I am still in 100% posession of all my mental faculties and have never suffered that abberation. Birdman.

Dave Bugg: [nq:1]Hey Laurie, the whole world sees the u.s. as a bunch of fat assed, shallow, stupid, ignorant fools who don't have a clue what's going on beyond our own borders.[/nq]Yawn. Dave Dave's Pit-Smoked Bar-B-Que http://davebbq.com /

Dave Bugg: [nq:1]And that confirms your stupidity too, the royal family are not a leadership. We have a democratic government who run ... gave you cowboys your country to you. Why dont you give the country back to its rightful owners? The Indians.[/nq]Whupped twice, ran crying home twice with yer tails 'tween yer legs. And I guess y'all would know about turning a country back over to the "indians" 'cause y'all managed that very well, too. Dave Dave's Pit-Smoked Bar-B-Que http://davebbq.com /

LOL. [/nq]Correct me if I'm wrong but your justification for blithely accepting legislation imposed on you which seriously impacts on and curtails your human rights and your civil liberties, is that other idiots are queuing up at your border posts to immigrate??? You are even dumber than I originally thought!!!. You deserve all you get. Carry on laughing. It won't be for long. Birdman

Stroud: [nq:1]For example (thanks Alex), americans love to say they saved the world from the Nazis, but it was really the ... fell. France went to war against the Nazis, where was the u.s.? Hollwood nonsense has brainwashed a few generations. Dave[/nq]America only came into the war when they had no other option after Japan joined the Axis and kicked their axxes hard in Pearl Harbour to wake them up. The Yanks then fought Japan in the Pacific and Asia assisted by Australia and the British divisions which were stationed in Asia. They formed a large part of the Allied landings in Europe, fought in the Italian campaign (which they would not have been able to do if the Brits and South Africans had not first kicked the Germans under Rommel clear out of North Africa, giving the Allies a Southern supply base from which to launch the Italian campaign and ultimately the three pronged advance on Germany. Britain was almost on her last legs when America entered the war but to say that the US did it all on her own is BS just as it is BS to say Britain could have done it all without Russia and the US. Britain's industry was crippled by german bombing, America's was still fully operational. Russia lost as many troops as she did not because she played a larger part but because her troops were poorly trained and badly equipped. America didn't save the World from anything or from anybody single handedly. It was a joint effort and should be remembered as such despite what the Yanks have in their history/fiction books and Hollywood has in it's archives. America owes most of her post war technological advances to the European scientific brainpower which she gained through the immigrant flood between 1945 and 1960. Birdman.
