This is southern California, where we assume e-collar and traditional trainers have either died of old age,[/nq] Chris what are you implying here. And what is your extreme aversion to motivational e-collar training. Not to be mistaken for the traditional old fashioned correctional e-collar training. I think you need to attend some seminars before you make blanket statements like the above. Also what are you calling traditional trainers who have died of old age? Have you been to any herding trainers lately. Some of them can be more brutal then I have ever witnessed. At least one that is here locally. [nq:1]or been sued into bankruptcy. That one sttill exists, and was invited into our shelter, is beyond belief.[/nq] Who might that be? Well you may not want to include names, but if they were invited to the shelter there must have been recommendations. Gwen

Gwen Watson: [nq:2]So. okay. Let me try again.. This is southern California, where we assume[/nq][nq:1]I'd bet a month's salary that "we" does not include all residents of southern California. (I'm geography-challenged. Isn't San Diego considered "southern California"? Doesn't Fred Hassen have a San Diego base?)[/nq] Indeed he does and quite successful at that, I might add. And his method IS motivational. I know I just went through it. I have now seen and witnessed with my own eyes. [nq:2]e-collar and traditional trainers have either died of old age, ... exists, and was invited into our shelter, is beyond belief.[/nq] [nq:1]Why? Head in the sand, Chris.[/nq] I would say clueless to how e-collars can be used as motivational tools rather than correctional tools. Gwen

That one sttill exists, and was invited into our shelter, is beyond belief.[/nq] Well you know what they say about that word assume. Electric collars are no more torturous than a person's hands, and I know some superb trainers in California, yes, even southern California, who are not only not old but have never been sued. Why would they be? And even your ludicrous statement was true, why does it justify you being gleeful about another person being tormented? I honestly think you are quite ill.

Handsome Jack Morrison: [nq:1]I honestly think you are quite ill.[/nq]Bingo! Chris is in need of professional help, and ASAP. And the thought of Chris spending the rest of his life on a Navajo Indian reservation somewhere in New Mexico makes me smile. Gwen Watson: [nq:1]Chris is in need of professional help, and ASAP.[/nq]I can't assess that from here. Besides I am not a professional anymore then I am a Vet. I think there are some unrealistic ideas going on with Chris. [nq:1]And the thought of Chris spending the rest of his life on a Navajo Indian reservation somewhere in New Mexico makes me smile.[/nq] Well now that is offensive Jack. At least to me who embraces the Native American Indian who has every right to most of this country IMO. We massacred them just because as white men we could. But they were the ones here first. I take issue with this being pretty much a NAI buff and fancier. My husband is part Cherokee Indian as are both of my kids from a different father. The heritage there is very important in American ways, IMO. "Dancing with Wolves" was one of my favorite movies and did make me angry about my own heritage and what was done to the people that originated in this country. Sorry for the rant. I am sure you won't agree, but I had to say it non the less. Gwen
