Nice idea, pocket! Here's my cat's story:

1. When and how did you get your pet (pets)?
In 1994, I was a child. My brother and I found a stray kitten in a village, and we brought him home.

2. Why did you decide to get a pet (pets)?
I didn't decide. The kitten decided for me when I looked at him. Emotion: love

3. Why is it a <cat, dog, hamster, ferret, budgerigar, snake, etc>?
I've always loved cats.

4. Was anyone in your family against having pets?
Yes, my dad. But my mom managed to persuade him eventually. And what do you think? In a while, he felt in love with our new companion!

5. Why do you think it's cool to have pets?
Because they brighten up our life. There are actually a lot of things we could learn from them.

1. When and how did you get your pet (pets)?

Butters (Ger. Shep. X)-He was born in a shed (manger?) on x-mas eve '07. His mom stopped taking care of his at two weeks, so Will and I stepped in.

Poochie (Chihua.)-Given as a "gift" when I was 14. She was saved especially for me because of the heart shaped marking on her head.

Achilles (Kitty)-Adopted. Nearly squashed by a compactor at a junkyard. The junkyard owner had him neutered and he was mine.

2. Why did you decide to get a pet (pets)?

I've always had pets. I definitely need them always.

3. Why is it a <cat, dog, hamster, ferret, budgerigar, snake, etc>?

Dogs are my favorite because of their loyalty, but I just love a warm, purring cat on my lap on a cold day.

4. Was anyone in your family against having pets?

My family doesn't really get the whole "pet thing". Pets are more like property and less like partners to them.

5. Why do you think it's cool to have pets?

Sometimes, humans let you down. When that happens, it's nice to have something around that loves you so much for simple things like dry kibble, a scratch behind the ear, or a short walk. They don't care about what you look like, how much money you have, what kind of clothes you wear, or anything like that. They hold no judgements as long as you take good care of them. That's the coolest thing to me about having pets.

i got gizmo 4 years ago,i hadnt had a a cat for a while since my cat before had passed away (rip)and was desperate to have a cat in my life again. a women was selling the litter her cat had and so i went along for a look and he was the runt of the litter.i know how hard it is for some cats to get homes and being the runt i knew he would be lucky to find anyone so i picked him.scared if everyone and always getting ill i raised him up now fully healthy although a few times i thought i was loosing him,and he adores people now

my new addition is ostara a beautiful little kitten i rescued from the local kennels.after moving to germany i think gizmo has been missing next doors little kitten who he spent all day cuddled up with her XD and so decided to get a little girl for him and he is loving her (after a day of sulking thinking he was going to be replaced)

we also have 2 snakes ordos and verdelet who we got of my hubbys friend who couldnt be bothered to take care of them and 1 lemming vlad (lazlo died a few days ago rip i cried alot!) 2 hamsters neon and armageddon and 2 mice artemis and luna weve had these a few months

i love animals ever single one i cant imagine my life without them
3. Why is it a ?

i cant resist anything furry! or not furry lol
4. Was anyone in your family against having pets?

my husband loves them just as much as me he cant keep his hands of the new kitten!
5. Why do you think it's cool to have pets?

there not my pets there my babies!nothing de-stresses me like watching a cat wash behind there ears XD curling up in bed with you and having a good old purr,loving you when they need something and when they dont and much more loyal then humans!

1. When and how did you get your pet (pets)?
I inherited my dog from my boyfriend. He now looks at me as if im his mother :-p
My boyfriend and I got our kitten in december. It was my christmas gift :]

2. Why did you decide to get a pet (pets)?
I had never had a dog before stitch and I completely fell in love. Before that, I have always had cats in my household..without it my house just feels empty. I realized I always wanted my own cat and since I have my own space now (not living with my parents) I could get one.

3. Why is it a <cat, dog, hamster, ferret, budgerigar, snake, etc>?
I have a dog and a cat.. my family has two cats...and my sister has three. They all feel to some degree like my family even though i dont see them very often

4. Was anyone in your family against having pets?
My parents didn't really want me to get a pet just yet because they feel that it may weigh me down and prevent me from doing other things.. However, without pets my life does feel pretty empty so I have them anway.

5. Why do you think it's cool to have pets?
They provide you with a companionship that cannot be beat. They love you unconditionally and they think you are the greatest thing since sliced bread. This also makes me want to love them back unconditionally, and I do. They are the best friends in the world.
