I got her in Malta back when I used to live here ages ago from a pet shop. They had told me she was a male but turned out she wasn't! She was sooo ugly as a kitten that I just HAD to have her!!! Hehe. She's apparently half Maine Coon and half Persian, though I don't see any persian traits in her. She's got the full Main Coon personality which I absolutely adore, you could almost say she's half cat, half dog! She loves playing fetch, chase and hide and seek

My other female cat, Chewy, is also turning 10 this year and is a persian. A typical persian. Naughty and shy. The pet store I got Yoda from had found her when she was only 4 weeks old and I immediately took her in. Nothing much to say about her, you barely notice she's around because she just sits around and does nothing Except for the occasional sneak up behind one of the other cats and attacking them.

Last but not least there is Gizmo, a pure breed Maine Coon boy whom I bought in Germany. He's turning 5 this month and it needs a lot of patience to put up with him! According to him, life evolves only around him. So if there are times that he wants attention and I don't give it to him, he goes mad and screams together the entire flat. If there is a door closed in which he'd like to go in, he goes mad. If there is just one spoon too little food, that's not good enough and he'll whine. If he wants to sit on my laptop while I'm working, he'll keep trying for an hour. If he wants to come into my room at night he'll sit infront of the door for 3 hours and miao non stop! And when he's bored he'll walk around the flat making funny noises
Yeah and he likes to jump on Yoda and just lie on her while she's hissing and flipping out underneath him. He's just a bit bigger though so she doesn't stand a chance! Boys....

Long-haired grey bodyguard!

Let me introduce my devoted bodyguard named Barsik. He's turning 14 this August - pretty old but never out of energy! What he likes doing is following me everywhere in the flat, and keep grumbling how bad I am, going around every now and then, and thus making him follow me with no minute of rest (which makes him tired, of course). In spite of this, we get along well enough. He adores olives and fresh beef, never eats pork. When I was at school and had to make home tasks, he liked sitting close to my books on a desk while I was reading or writing something. I suspect he learnt a lot from there though he still pretends he cannot read and doesn't understand human speech at all. Apparently, he's got some skills indeed, otherwise he wouldn't be able to read the word WHISKAS on packs of this food (oh yeah, he always recognizes a pack with it!).

Here are some pictures with him:

And here's a picture showing how well he guards me even when I'm trying to take some rest. Beware of his fangs!

Ladies and gentlemen ... He was born on 12th February 1996, so he is 12 now, he's old and has some health problems, but he's always hungry and this is a good sign ! He came to live with us a day (don't remember exactly when) in March 1996; 1 month before my other dog died! I was so depressed because he had lived with us for 13 years; my dad took him when I was 5, and he died when I was 18....his name was "Dado" as well, the point is my dad likes only this name for our dogs ....anyway when the other Dado died I thought: "I don't want to have a dog anymore"...but as soon as I saw this puppy I fell in love with him and he helped me to overcome my sadness!

My dog is famous because he used to be crazy when he was a young dog, here they are 2 examples:

He liked wearing masks during Carnival:

He liked walking on the roof:

This is a recent pic of Dado doing his new favourite sport: sleeping! It was taken by my sister:

Barb's menagerie

Actually, I have only ... five pets at the moment.

I have two step cats (a black one to shed on my light-colored clothing and a calico to cover everything else. I'm the only mommy they've ever known, though, so I think of them as my own. The calico pretends to like me until her dad gets home thought.

I have a no-longer-kitten who is a direct descendent from Satan. Michief should be her name.

I have a one-eyed gerbil. We adopted her that way.

And I have a goldfish who is apparently going to set the record for longest-lived fish on the planet that cost less than fifty cents.

I will try to find some pictures.
