Owners train the dog with some foods in his hands. After the dogs finish the action, such as squatting、sitting、rushing、stopping and coming action, you give the foods to your dogs. Which will let your dogs know that he will benefit from it if he can obey the rules. So as to improve his ability. However, if your dogs are not interested in the delicious foods, this training method does not work. 2. Mechanical method. The training method combines the physical stimulation and pain training. You can pressure your dogs by shaking dog leashes、dog collars、dog harnesses, slapping slightly or petting your dogs so as to make the dogs finish the action. The method are suitable for dogs which have strong nervous system. Although you can make your dogs finish the training, your dogs will reduce the trust to you due to the fear in their mind. Which will lead to negative attitude to the training 3. comparing method The training method combines above 2 methods. You rewards some foods to your pets after you make them finish the action by some mandatory method. I think it is the regular training method which can establish consolidate relationship between you and your dogs 4. Imitation exercise Let the trained dogs and new dogs receive training together which will increase the efficiency of training. The new dogs will learn faster by imitating action from his friends. The method are often applied in the training of working dogs and hunting dogs. 5. The process of training The common training process always begins from the east to hard step by step. The gesture training are regarded as the first course which will increase the interest of your pets to participate in the following training course and obey the command. It is important to choose one place where there is not to noise to make your pets dogs to focus on the training. Too many trainers are not a good for training dogs, because the dogs will receive different commands from different trainers. When the dogs finish the course, please pet the dogs or offer your praise. You should mix your command and gesture together so as to make your dogs to understand your intention. Make sure that the training should not last too long. I'm assuming it is because she is a MUCH bigger dog than he is. He was fine when we first brought her home...he wouldn't play with her or anything but he would mainly just ignore her. Our cat has also had trouble adjusting but now he has learned to avoid her. Bear has also learned to avoid the cat. The woman we got her from told me she enjoys playing with other dogs and she does try to initiate play with the two Chi's but they won't have none of it. The female will simply bare her teeth a little and pretty much cower until Bear leaves her alone but the male has seemingly gotten more aggressive towards not only Bear but towards the cat as well. Most of the fighting has occurred in the kitchen area though I've had to break up a few fights outside. Bear never starts the fights. I'm seriously considering re-homing one of them. I don't really want to but Bear is constantly being attacked by the male Chi and he is becoming more aggressive. He has yet to actually physically hurt her during one of these confrontations but during it, she will holler (whine) and he will not stop on his own. Someone will have to go break it up and he's come close to biting me a few times as I pulled him off her. He is not neuteured but would that cause him to attack her like? She's probably about 4-5 months old by now. She was 3 months old when we got her and we've had her about a month and a half. 0 replies "A Cats Protection survey reveals that around a quarter of Britain’s cats (23 per cent) are regarded by their owners to be overweight, yet continue to be fed too many treats." : here. I like to say that there should always be positive reinforcement, but there are always situations where you have to make it clear to the dog - "not like that my friend"! Exactly these situations are the ones I would like to talk about. What is appropriate? What does the dog understand? When do you intimidate the dog? I would appreciate a detailed and objective discussion. R 0 replies [link] What a sad thing to read on Christmas holidays. I hope the people will be OK. I have a mixed breed Dam who may or may not have blue eyes in her pedigree (she is 1/2 Catahoula - 1/4 Red Bone - 1/4 Pitt Bull - she is a grey/black merle) She was bred (accidentally) by my Black Mouth Cur male (of course..no blue eyes in pedigree and he is solid yellow with a black mask). She may have also been bred by a bulldog cross (3/4 Pitt Bull 1/4 Catahoula) that has two blue eyes. My question? If pups come out with two blue eyes, a single blue eye or cracked eyes... They cannot be out of my BMC can they? Sent from my iPhone 0 replies I've had my cockatiel for 2 years and he's never been very friendly and unfortunately for me he's really getting worse and worse. I let him out of the cage every day and he's hand trained but it doesn't matter how much time I spend with him and how hard I try to tame him he just keeps biting and attacking me! Is there anything I can do to make him more friendly? Thanks. 0 replies Can anyone offer some advice please? We have a very friendly, cuddly and sweet Burmese with an independent streak. She often walks outside and sometimes gets into scraps with other animals in the area. Over the years we've had her, on one occasion with me and again last night with my stepdad, whilst she is curled up being stroked, she suddenly turns and attacks the person stroking her. It's not a common occurrence, but I just wonder if there could be some reason behind it other than her being stroppy? I do not believe she is dangerous, but I also don't like feeling I have to be wary of her moods... 0 replies hi all, i'm looking for pics of shih tzu haircuts. i couldn't find a good website with photos in the net so if you know about one pls let me know. also if you have a shih tzu with a cool haircut can you pls share its photo. my shih tzu pup had his first haircut yesterday but i don't like it. i don't blame the groomer because she did what i asked but i guess i had no idea what i wanted. thanks in advance for any help. 0 replies Do you agree with showing dogs?
