There are only a few breeds that stay relatively small compared to other cats. These breeds are listed below. If you're looking for a small cat, remember that, regardless of the breed, females tend to be smaller than males.
If you're excited about the concept of "miniature" or "teacup" cats - cats that look like kittens in adulthood - please note that, even though some try to achieve this through selective breeding, the very idea of it is frowned upon by many people because it's unnatural and quite unhealthy for the cats.
