One of the most beautiful birds in the world, swans form monogamous pair bonds that last for many years, and in some cases for their entire life. The size of the clutch is usually 4 to 7 eggs. The cygnets learn to fly when their flight feathers have fully grown. This happens at about four and a half months of age. The birds reach maturity at about 2-3 years of age. By this time, their plumage should be completely white.
