 | boyquail You should probably switch back if you can, the dogs simply don't like the change. You could try adding some treats to the food or maybe something like unsweetened applesauce on top to entice them to eat it, that's what I did for my puppy. | |

boyquail replied to an anonymous question. | hi my dog got knocked over about a month ago and broke his leg and following his recent check up his leg isnt healing and the possibility is that he might have to loose his leg, what are the chances of him coping with 3 legs?? | |
| boyquail As long as the operation is done correctly and it heals right without infection, your dog should get used to having 3 legs. He'll learn how to balance on his own and eventually be able to act almost normally, as most amputee dogs do. | |
