I know some can be toxic, anyone know of some oils that can be used on cats and dogs that are not toxic?
This made me wonder... is it dangerous if I put an aroma lamp in the room where my pet is? Emotion: thinking
Anonymous I'm not arguing, I'm trying to learn about it and challenge both ends of it. Did I say anywhere that I believe that ALL oils are okay for animals? No, I was wondering if there are SOME that are OKAY to use, knowing that many are toxic. I'm not out ...
Yes Janice, they should not even breath in the scent and it can get into their fur where they absorb everything and lick it off. So not even in the room.

Do you think it is okay to give a pet to someone as a Christmas present?
  Uhh no.
Unless they know you're giving it to them and they actually WANT a pet.
I think it is only okay when the people know you're going to give them a pet, and they're ready for a long term commitment. Otherwise the pet can end up in the street, shelter or worse.
Agree with the above, not unless it's clearly communicated from the receiving end that it's wanted.

It would usually depend on the genes and how it's treated, fed and taken care of, but goat lifespan is 10 years on average as far as I know.

why do you guys think cats and dogs are the most popular pets unlike hamsters for example? rodents can make great companions too and they take less space and require less time. just a random question out of my mind
That's a matter of taste. Cats and dogs are probably more popular because you can cuddle up with them, and kids love that.
