Hello - Do I need three collars for my dog?
Is there such a thing as an invisible fence system collar, combined with an anti-bark collar, and a training collar???
Fence collars

Training Collars

Bark Collars

Any Thoughts? No flames about animal cruelty please.

would you need the bark collar? maybe the training collar could help for barking too?
It could but would requre constant supervision but I would consider it.

Supervision and intelligent control is what makes a good ecollar a training tool. Sound or vibration activated bark collars don't do this.

It takes constant (or near constant) supervision to train a dog. I am not a trainer and have never used an ecollar but I would think the same rules apply as regular training. If you don't supervise them and they do something wrong and they get a reward out of it (like knocking over the trash and getting scraps to eat), it will hinder their progress, even if only 1 time out of 10 you aren't there to correct them. But like I said, I am not a trainer so this is just my own thinking.

What is it your dog does that makes you feel you need all these collars?

More of a general question I suppose. I use a chain in yard because I do not have a fence, was thinking about an invisible fence which would require a special e-collar. The dog also barks, out of boredom or at passers by and other animals, was curious if a bark collar would help train her of this. Then there are training collars for working on longer distance recall and other field use.
I was just wondering if there was an all in one. Further research indicates that there is not. Also, I have noted there is a huge variety of training e-collars.
I have decided to get a good e-collar for field training, helping with barking and other more advanced training. I will stay with the chain until I can afford a proper fence.
Thanks all for your input.

Sounds to me that the main problem is that the dog is chained up in the yard and is bored.

Why not bring your dog inside , that would help with the barking. If she is bored than she needs more exercise. What breed is your dog ? Alison
