Howdy All, This question came up in a car forum I participate in and it had a great response so ... waterbed with them :-) Having Salukis in the bed is like sleeping with a gunny sack full of deer antlers

Regie the Westie-Wheaton mostly sleeps at the foot of my bed.
My two small dogs (Papillon & Shih Tzu cross) both sleep in bed with me. Along with whomever of my 8 cats that also want to join us . My Blue Lacy pup, Chula, sleeps outside (with the rest of the cats, I guess).
Howdy Shelly & the Boys,
The Salukis move around a lot. One minute they will be curled and te next I'm hanging off the edge of the bed because one of them has streetched out :-) They also move from place to place. I have a doggy bed next to the bed and I have a crate at the foot of the bed. In the living room they have 2 couches. That is where they like to sleep on their backs and again, streetch out.

All three dogs start off the night in bed with me (my husband works third shift, so there's room there during the week). Zane, my big male BC usually gets too warm after a short period, so after he gets his share of petting he migrates into his lair in the closet. Scully, the female BC, stays in bed all night with her head on my husband's pillow.
Cooper, the 6 month-old JRT puppy, also stays in bed all night, although he's not content with just being with me. Oh no. He wants to maintain full body contact. He plasters himself to me like a puppy poultice. If I roll away to check the clock or answer the phone, by the time I try to roll back, he's already migrated over and has to be repositioned so I don't squish him.
On weekends when my husband and I actually sleep at the same time, Scully is highly disgruntled at having to give up her spot and sleep on the floor next to the bed. Cooper, though, is delighted. There's no such thing as too warm or too crowded for him.

Hmmm, let's see. The morning nap My Gordon Setter (Majic) sleeps at the bed(swmbo, works third Shift) Vicki the heeler curls up with momma until she is asleep then pesters parrots until sleepy.
Finally at night it's my turn...Majic wont get in the water bed very often as he's getting on in years. But once again Vicki is right there...pestering me to sleep. She usually goes to sleep on the floor next to her crate. ===

In their crates, in the laundry room. They make too much noise at night, plus we need a pet-hair-free zone.

My Rottie sleeps with me in bed until he starts dreaming and practicly kicks me out of bed. Always wonder what he's chasing with such vigour.

Also funny how I always end up having his cute rear facing me. Must be a dog thing.

I just love that description :-)
A Saluki breeder who used to frequent this group (Wendy Duggan) used to complain about the requirement that each Saluki in the household have a sofa of his/her own. It added up to a whole lot of sofas.
