Why not have her poop at home?

Why not, indeed. I sure as hell wouldn't enjoy carrying around a shovel with me. That'd take all the fun out of walking my dog.

Being the lazy person that I am, I have taken to walking Harriet over to the next court and having her poop near the trash dumpsters. That way, I just have to bag it and toss it, and I don't have to carry it around with me. If I had a large dog who was producing mountains of poop, I think I'd be even more motivated to train her to go on command, so I could make pick-up and disposal as easy as possible. I'd also look into why she was such a productive pooper.

Not to mention 3 large poops! ICK! I don't get 3 large poops with 3 dogs! If they all pooped, each would be small, but even so - they "go" at home first, then we walk. No carrying of shovels or full poop bags necessary (I do carry bags just in case something weird happened, but it never has).

You bet - on both counts.

Because I don't like picking up Rottweiler poops in my hand. She goes at least three times on her morning walk and they large.

Love: bulky and high in roughage. Goes in one end and out the other.
Boy, this is *so* not a good metaphor.

That, too. Seems like a lot to juggle, to me, but I have freakishly small hands, so managing all that would be difficult. Also, NOT FUN.

Oh, yes. Always. I have baggies stashed in just about every pocket of every jacket I own. They don't take up much space, and it's better to be safe than sorry.

She also goes once in the yard before the morning walk.

She poops at home once also.

My guess: This is a dog of Size, a Weighty dog, a dog of such Proportion that she has trouble cleaning herself.

I dig a hole with the little shovel and bury it.
