Umm, no. It would most likely make them more callous and violent.

Well, They'd think twice before hurting anything ever again, wouldn't you think??

No. They'd probably get meaner.
ugh. i think that's a sick thing to say. what those boys did was heinous, but no one deserves to be raped.

Hear, hear.

What do you think happens to every guy who goes to jail? That's what jail is.

Yep. It is evil, and I'm not proud of it.
However, that doesn't change the way I feel. If somebody abuses an animal, I want to see that person hurt. Badly.

I'd guess that most people on this ng are as devoted to animals as you are. However: A very close friend of mine was sexually abused by her uncle from about age 5 to 13, including being raped (she doesn't know how many times). She wouldn't wish what he did to her even on him.

Yes I have a very close friend whose Grandfather did the same to her from about 4-6.
And no she wouldn't wish that on anyone.

same here, only it was my friend's stepdad. we've had numerous conversations about it, including talking about vengeful impulses. her feeling is that not only would she never wish what happened to her on her worst enemy, but that it's a seriously *** up thing to do to your own karma. i agree. it seems to me that the person most harmed by such thoughts is the person thinking them.
and then there is my own personal belief that thoughts are things. i see nothing to be gained by deliberately creating and nurturing evilness.

Yeah, we've had many, many conversations too, with more to come, as she's never talked to anyone about it before. I agree with your friend about the karma, and that thinking evil thoughts does the most harm to the thinker rather than the thinkee.

Agreed.
