Lastly, is this dog a Belgian? http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=2438479 Cate

That's my pick but of course it is a black GSD holding it's pacifier toy. Oh I just love that.
Blade always has something he holds in his mouth.
He definitely has an oral fixation.
I do rather like little Yum Yum though.
But honestly the one above looks like a grand dog. Could be too much for Orson?

But yesterday he was about ready to go get us a Frenchie girl.

Are you sure he was referring to a dog?

Oh bad Matt!

I agree with Matt. Are you sure he isn't wanting
a threesome??

'Uh oh' is really in order here, I guess.

LOL Cate.
Are there any frenchies in rescue? I am not sure? Seems as though most smaller breeds there really aren't many of them in rescue. People learn how to handle them even if they are unruly brats. Its the big breeds that people seem to really not keep.
I do like the Black GSD. I have always loved
Black GSD's. And I love GSDs that are very
vocal like Blade. I swear I could teach him to
talk at times.

Isn't he great?

I think she'd be a good playmate for Orson but too much for other reasons. We'll likely have a kid in the next year or two, and we already have a cat that's askeered of dogs. This one has issues in both areas. I posted her only because I was curious about her breed.
I think the best thing for us, when we decide the time is right, is to work with a shelter willing to let us test-drive a girl dog for a night, or to work with a rescue who knows their dogs very well. Not actively traumatizing the cat will be important. Being good with kids will be a must. And I don't need a puppy. In fact, I'd prefer an adult. Mixes are a- ok.
Except for my fantasy about a Frenchie. Bulldog, that is. Ahem.

Well, he was rather friendly with the dog's owner. Hey maybe he wasn't referring to a dog at all!
