I agree with Matt. Are you sure he isn't wanting a threesome??

Well, he was rather friendly with the dog's owner. Hey maybe he wasn't referring to a dog at all! Cate

You never know these days Cate. It may be a Valentine's fantasy he is wanting to fulfill, ya know?

Are there any frenchies in rescue?

As a matter of fact, there are: http://www.frenchbulldogrescue.org / The available dogs are all, well, dogs. No girls.
I am not sure? Seems
as though most smaller breeds there really aren't many of them in rescue. People learn how to handle them even if they are unruly brats. Its the big breeds that people seem to really not keep.

Sadly, there are several owner surrenders on that site.
I do like the Black GSD. I have always loved Black GSD's. And I love GSDs that are very vocal like Blade. I swear I could teach him to talk at times.

Have you read Dogs of Babylon? Interesting if slightly stilted story about talking dogs.

I know! She's almost irresistible.

I have a good idea. One of Orson's best pals in Ithaca was Honey Pie, a bully mix.

Don't think I haven't thought about it. DH tonight nixed the Frenchie idea, and he's probably right. We'd be better off with two dogs with similar needs.
And the girl dog (and it will be a girl dog) must be good at smackdown.

DH seems to be coming around to the idea of a second dog, so of course I'm torturing myself on Petfinder.

petfinder is evil. evil i say.

I like Rocket. But there are no girls. I have always heard that frenchies are rather hard to housebreak. It could be that the males are even more so? I know someone that ones a male and he did nearly pull his hair out housebreaking him.
Did you see the Pembroke, Oliver on that link? He is already adopted though. Strange to see a pem on a frenchie site.

Read above, I suspect that could be why.
