Hello guys,

Have you ever been afraid of your own dog? If so, why and how did you overcome this? Please share your experience. Emotion: smile
Although I have great respect for a dog's strength and its ability to inflict serious damage, I can't say that there is any dog that I have ever been "afraid" of.

Typically, dogs are very eager to please their humans, so it's usually a simple matter of asserting yourself as the alpha dog in your pack/family.
I have a dog Marbles with fear aggression issues. She became accustomed to controlling her environment through bullying both other dogs and us. Through clicker training and a good positive reinforcement obedience class I've built a much better relationship with her and she is a much happier dog now. She is not without issues but I now know what triggers her aggression and how to redirect her focus to something positive.
