I woke up this morning and was flipping thru the tv channels and found an infomercial running about this place www.birdparadise.biz . From the looksof the place on the tube it was large and well stocked , with toys and foods from A to Z along with the rest of the nine yards. and the owners seemed to be well versed in bird keeping. Has anyone had any dealings with them? Might have to cross the river for a look see one of these days.

I followed the link to their web site. I hope the store is better run. Broken link to Picture gallery and e-mail info, typos and mis- statements (many caique species). I didn't follow every link, either.

Call me picky but I think a business should be as careful of their Internet image as they are of the store itself.

A rose by any other name would be "deadly thorn-bearing assault vegetation."

What's wrong with saying they have many caique species???

Just guessing, but as far as I know only two species of caique are being imported for the pet trade in the U.S. black headed and white bellied. I missed the first part of this thread so I don't know which company/website you're referring to.

Well, more than one species can be considered "many". Plus, they might have a few subspecies as well.

Maybe by marketing departments. ;-)

I'm curious to see their site. We've fallen head over heels in love with our caique. If they aren't a popular choice for pets yet, they soon will be. What an absolute joy they are!

I haven't had any first hand experience with caiques, but the ones I've seen are just crazy! (I mean that in a nice way). Emotion: smile
