The new neighbors have a Brindle Boxer named Chance. He spends his days outside while the family works but I think he goes in for the evenings/nights. A few days ago I had my 2 nephews and 2 poodles down at the stream on our property. The stream is in the opposite direction of the neighbor's house but Chance got free and managed to find us (a good 1000 yards away from his house). Last time he got free, his owners told us he is friendly and he does live with 2 young children so hopefully that is accurate. The visit was short lived because Maui immediately showed Chance that he had trespassed into MAUI LAND and was about to be evicted. Chance left somewhat willingly.Today he was back. I was outside riding the 4 wheeler and Chance started chasing me. He wouldn't stay at his house and followed me back home. Maui was out and they started playing. They played very well together for a while so I brought Cali out. She also played nicely. I decided to take them all down to the stream since it is so hot. Maui was off lead (as usual) as was Chance (of course since he isn't even mine) and they stayed with each other (and me).

Cali was on lead, which she always is but it was long enough she could still play and have fun. So, we get down to the bottom of the hill and I see Chance dive into the water and lay down with practically only his head left dry (apparently not all boxers have the same distaste for the water that Harriet does?). It was a good visit, we saw a frog and a baby turtle that was very cute. Chance stayed for a while and only left after we all came in. A nice time for all involved I think.

Thanks! I agree and my favorite is where they are playing chase, Maui's ears are up and both dogs look almost airborn.

Mine is Maui being evil and obviously scaring the bejabbers out of that poor Boxer!

My family values don't involve depleted uranium.
To reply, unleash the dog.

thanks, they had a good time and part of me hopes the Boxer breaks his lead again (though only if he stays safe and doesn't go near the road).

Those are really cute photos of the dogs together; loved them. The boxer looks young; nice dog.

I was wondering how old he is because he seems young and is smaller than I thought he'd be. Maybe if I see the owners, I have to ask them.
I can't believe they leave the dog out alone all day. I bet he had a lot of fun with Maui. He must have a boring life being alone all the time.

Yeah, I don't like that kind of life for dogs. Hopefully he at least goes in at night.
And maybe he'll come visiting again.
