Can anyone offer some advice please? We have a very friendly, cuddly and sweet Burmese with an independent streak. She often walks outside and sometimes gets into scraps with other animals in the area. Over the years we've had her, on one occasion with me and again last night with my stepdad, whilst she is curled up being stroked, she suddenly turns and attacks the person stroking her. It's not a common occurrence, but I just wonder if there could be some reason behind it other than her being stroppy? I do not believe she is dangerous, but I also don't like feeling I have to be wary of her moods...
You halways have to watch your cat and be aware of the fact that their mood can change within seconds. Learn how to read their body language, that will help you. For being aggressive, it is usually a sign of boredom. Play more with your cat and she will get calmer
